We had to wait a while for it, but a sequel to the dark hit series Nemesis (2026– ) has finally been announced. Netflix announces that the thriller, from the maker of Power (2014–2020), returns for a second season!
Viewership hit
Nemesis is the latest work from Courtney A. Kemp, the creator of Power. The thriller series was released on Netflix some time ago and the new addition was immediately streamed en masse. Nemesis turned out to be a ratings hit for the streaming service. Then of course a second season cannot be delayed!

6.1 Watch on Netflix • Follow the story of two men on opposite sides of the law, the story of what happens when an unstoppable force (an expert criminal) meets an immovable object (a brilliant police detective).
Message from the makers
Netflix says that Nemesis has been renewed for a second season. “I am very happy that we are getting a season 2,” creator Kemp tells Tudum. “Thank you to all the fans, it’s thanks to them. (…) We are also very grateful to Netflix for recognizing the power of our audience and bringing the series back for the fans.”
Season 2
Season 2 will see ambitious detective Stiles and thief Wilder continue their cat-and-mouse game on the streets of Los Angeles. “We’re going to make sure that questions are answered, and that there are even more new questions that need to be answered,” creator Tani Marole tells Tudum. “Season 2 is going to be bigger and better.”
Psychological struggle
What starts as a nerve-wracking action series that rewrites all the rules of the heist genre, turns out to be a profound psychological battle between an unstoppable top criminal and a motivated detective. Amid explosive action and complex family dynamics, the stakes shift from pure survival to a raw exploration of the human psyche: what drives us, what keeps us afloat, and what ultimately brings us down?
