Next year we can go to the cinema for a Dutch thriller inspired by stories of the infamous Amsterdam robbers of the ‘Rolex Gang’. Dutch FilmWorks shared the first details this week, such as the cast members and the release, in a special announcement. What is known about it Rolexbende (2027)?

Dutch FilmWorks has announced in a special video that the recordings of Rolexbende have started. The cast members have also been announced. We see Hamza Othman, Daniël Kolf, Ali Fardi and Josylvio. The cast of the upcoming cinema film is completed by Ghislaine van Ijperen, Asma El Mouden and Sezgin Gülec.
Where goes Rolexbende over?
As a young dealer in replica watches, Ismaël ‘Izzy’ suddenly gets the opportunity of a lifetime when he is drawn into the world of the infamous Rolex gang. Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of watches, he quickly commands respect and for the first time in his life he feels at home somewhere. But the luxurious appearance is deceiving. As the pressure mounts and loyalty gives way to merciless violence and betrayal, Izzy is faced with an impossible choice. Does he choose the ‘family’ that made him great, the golden future he dreams of, or the person he wants to be deep down?
Who have Rolexbende made?
The new project is based on an idea by Ali Fardi, who is also involved in the film as a creative producer. The direction is in the hands of Aaron van Valen. No stranger to the genre, as he previously worked on hit series such as Mocro Mafia and Sleepers. Together with Diederik van Rooijen and Daan Windhorst he also wrote the screenplay Rolexbende.
When comes Rolexbende out at the cinema?
Rolexbende will be released in theaters in 2027. It is not yet known when exactly the thriller will be released on the silver screen.
The film is inspired by true events surrounding four gang members who were convicted in 2020 after terrorizing wealthy and often well-known people in Amsterdam.
