As a symbol, it is at the end of a historic heatwave that the subject of water storage and crop irrigation animates the parliamentary week. After its adoption by deputies in May, the Senate began, on June 29, the examination in session of the emergency bill for agricultural protection and sovereignty. The objective stated by the Economic Affairs Committee is clear, and could be summed up in an amendment added by the senators which plans to impose “a priority right to water for agricultural uses”.
