“Hello, are you here to get married?” » The question is surprising but, on this Friday June 26, Kathrin Oxen systematically asks it to people entering the Berlin Memorial Church, recognizable by its bell tower bombed during the Second World War. This Protestant pastor is participating in an initiative with the evocative name: “Get married easily”. Launched three years ago by the Evangelical Church in Bavaria, it is being taken up for the first time this year by the twelve member churches of the Protestant Church in Germany (EKD) and by 368 places of worship. The chosen date, June 26 (06/26/2026), is supposed to “bring good luck”.
