How far will the Annecy Animated Film Festival rise? After joining this year the very closed group of A-rank film festivals (1), joining those of Cannes or Venice, the event, with a brand new City of Animated Cinema, once again broke attendance records, with just over 19,000 accredited this year. Despite the heatwave, festival-goers queued up under the blazing sun to attend the sessions of this 50th edition.
