
The affair, revealed in 2019, hit the headlines: the Medicines Agency then alerted about a clinical trial carried out completely illegally in a place a priori not conducive to this type of activity: the hotel of the Abbey of Sainte-Croix, in Saint-Benoît, in the suburbs of Poitiers (Vienna). “It’s a serious mistake,” reacted Agnès Buzyn, the Minister of Health at the time, about these trials in which around 400 people participated, notably suffering from Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s disease.
