On June 23, 2016, to the great astonishment of the British themselves, the United Kingdom decided, by referendum and with a small yes of 51.9% (compared to 48.1% for “remain”), to cast off the moorings of the European Union to sail towards another future promised in particular by Boris Johnson, who would soon become Prime Minister. That of a great power rediscovered: it is “Global Britain”.
