
Moscow targeted by “large-scale” attack
A “large-scale” attack by Ukrainian drones took place overnight on Moscow, with several projectiles hitting a refinery, the city’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, announced on Thursday June 18. This announcement comes as Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomes Asian leaders from Wednesday evening for a two-day Russia-Asean summit in Kazan (center of the country).
“Air defense forces continue to repel a large-scale attack. Several drones managed to reach the MNPZ, one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, located in the capital, Sergei Sobyanin wrote on Telegram. The mayor later indicated that 52 drones had been destroyed by Russian anti-aircraft defenses.

Zelensky says he discussed G7 results with Macron and Trump
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that he had discussed the results of the G7 summit with his French counterparts Emmanuel Macron and American Donald Trump, believing that this meeting could “bring significant changes”.
“This was an important coordination meeting, likely to bring about significant changes. We reviewed the results of our discussions at the G7 summit,” Volodymyr Zelensky said without giving further details.
