
It is a decision that has the effect of a cold shower for the families concerned and for all those who fight against sexual assault in after-school settings. This Tuesday, June 16, the Paris Criminal Court acquitted Nicolas G., a host who had been tried at the beginning of May for events that occurred in the Titon elementary school in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. While the prosecution had requested a suspended prison sentence of eighteen months, the court considered that the acts of sexual assault, accused of this 47-year-old man, were not sufficiently characterized.
