American actor David Harbor admits he has had an argument with Stranger Things (2016–2025) colleague Millie Bobby Brown. In an interview with entertainment magazine Variety, Harbor compares it to a family feud. “In families it’s OK because you just have a fight and then you get back together. The problem with a billion-dollar show is that there are hundreds of people who want to get involved.”
Complaint due to harassment
Stranger Things first appeared in 2016 and ended early this year. Harbor played the adoptive father of Brown’s character Eleven, who was twelve years old when the show began. Before the release of the final season, the British magazine Daily Mail reported that Brown had filed a complaint against Harbor for harassment. “We worked together for 10 years during her formative teenage years, as father and daughter. I don’t know if people have families and friends that you spend a lot of time with for 10 years – you have arguments now and then, disagreements,” Harbor said. “It was just a simple thing that once we got everyone out of the way and talked to each other, it was fine.” According to Harbour, he and Brown are working together again on new projects.

Stranger Things (2016‑2025)
After a little boy disappears under very suspicious circumstances, mysterious things come to light in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, such as secret experiments, supernatural forces and a strange girl.
Ex-wife
In the interview, Harbor also responds to the most recent album by his ex-wife, singer Lily Allen. The songs sparked widespread criticism of Harbour, although Allen has previously said that not everything she sings on the album is true. “I truly believe that it is every artist’s prerogative to use her experiences to create art, and so I respect her for that,” Harbor says. “Stories are complex and that’s why I say I respect her art creation to channel her experience. It was not my experience.”
Bipolar disorder
Harbor has previously spoken to the media about his bipolar disorder. According to the actor, he sometimes shows “confusing” behavior and had a “breakdown” at the end of last year. “Under extreme stress, that can lead to somewhat erratic behavior, and that’s embarrassing, and I’m ashamed of it. It’s not something I choose, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.”
Featured in new series
David Harbor can currently be seen in the HBO series DTF St. Louis (2026).
