During the weeks following the death of radical right-wing activist Quentin Deranque, who died in Lyon in February after receiving very violent blows during a clash with far-left activists, the dissonance between the different portraits made of him was striking. On the one hand, those close to him portrayed him as a fervent parishioner, recently converted, involved in charitable works. Then, in a completely different register, the press revealed his multiple commitments within small radical far-right groups, then his tweets with neo-Nazi tendencies.
