It’s been ten years since the continents drifted Ice Age 5: Collision Course (2016), and so Disney thought the time was right for yet another part six in the Ice Age franchise. The first teaser of Ice Age: Boiling Point (2027) is a clear match with the topic of climate change.

With his tail on fire, we see the now iconic Sid once again flying after his ‘precious’ jerk, where he is quickly joined in the new images by the rest of the Ice Age-family. We cannot yet distill a clear plot line from it, but it is obvious that these winter animals will once again encounter their own shelf life due to the changing climate:
Outback
Disney previously announced that Manny, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the group will be drawn back to the ‘Lost World’ in part six, a remote corner that was central to Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009) and was also affected in The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022) (not counted as one of the official parts of the series, therefore Boiling Point will be part 6). The voice actors (including Queen Latifah and Simon Pegg) who have previously contributed to the franchise also return for this occasion. John C. Donkin (who previously The Adventures of Buck Wild finished) will direct the film.
The theatrical release of Ice Age: Boiling Point is scheduled for February 4, 2027.
