
In bars, on social networks or among friends, sports betting is gradually making its way into discussions around football, a few days before the start of the 2026 World Cup, Thursday June 11. According to an estimate from the British consultancy firm H2 Gambling Capital, bettors’ stakes are expected to increase by 71% compared to the 2022 edition in Qatar and by 185% compared to that of 2018 in Russia to reach 60 billion dollars (51.4 billion euros).
