
For a long time, the prevailing discourse seemed to limit the use of electric cars to people traveling short daily distances to get to work. Taxi drivers served as a counterexample. Likely to undertake very long journeys, for example when a customer has missed their train, or has to reach an airport located at the other end of the region, they could not take the “risk” of driving electric, for fear of running out of juice before reaching the destination.
