The 41-year-old man indicted for kidnapping in connection with the disappearance of schoolgirl Lyhanna in the Gers, was the subject of a complaint for rape of a 10-year-old girl filed in August 2025, we learned on Tuesday June 2 from the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office.
“A complaint was filed on August 22 for rape of a minor under 15 years old at the Plaisance du-Touch gendarmerie brigade (near Toulouse). These facts gave rise to the start of an investigation, but as the facts took place in Montastruc-sur-Gers, my public prosecutor’s office requested that this procedure be addressed to the Auch public prosecutor’s office, the competent public prosecutor’s office. The divestment was recorded at the beginning of November,” declared Toulouse prosecutor David Charmatz, confirming information from BFMTV.
Previous complaint revealed
“These were not recent facts,” said the Toulouse prosecutor, adding that “the Auch public prosecutor’s office continued the investigation.” Auch prosecutor Clémence Meyer confirmed having received the file in December.
“The complaint was received at the Auch public prosecutor’s office in December 2025, transmitted for investigation to the gendarmerie in January 2026. The investigations have been ongoing since then,” indicated the magistrate. In Fleurance, in the Gers, the gendarmes are continuing their search to try to find the 11-year-old schoolgirl, Lyhanna, who has been missing since Friday.
