Sunday May 31, at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, will not open a provincial council as announced but a “provincial ecclesial assembly”. At the request of Rome, the bishops of the dioceses of Île-de-France (Pontoise, Créteil, Versailles, Saint-Denis, Meaux, Évry-Corbeil-Essonnes, Nanterre, Paris), as well as the bishop of the armies, renamed this unprecedented initiative.
