
The Nanterre criminal court on Thursday, May 28, sentenced the former mayor of Levallois-Perret, Patrick Balkany, to respectively 15 months’ imprisonment and three years’ imprisonment but without a committal warrant, in two separate cases of embezzlement of public funds.
Patrick Balkany, 77, was tried from April 7 to 10. He was not present at the deliberations due to hospitalization, according to his lawyer, Maître Robin Binsard.
