More than 400 drones were heading towards Moscow
The Russian capital and its region suffered a large Ukrainian drone attack overnight which left ten people injured, including three Chinese nationals, and caused a fire on a major industrial site, authorities said on Monday July 20.
More than 400 drones were launched overnight towards the Moscow region, 85 of which were destroyed at the ends of the city, the others having been neutralized “on the distant outskirts”, according to the mayor of the Russian capital Sergei Sobyanin. “As a result of the drone attack on the Moscow region, ten people were injured,” including an 11-year-old child, regional governor Andrei Vorobiov said on Telegram.
Russian missiles hit merchant ship
A Turkish-owned merchant ship was hit by three Russian missiles on Sunday and five sailors were killed, the Ukrainian navy said, adding that the fate of five other crew members remained unknown.
The bulk carrier, which flew the flag of Guinea-Bissau and was transporting cereals, was hit by three cruise missiles “while it was leaving the combat zone”, according to the same source, which specified that eight people were evacuated to a hospital in Odessa, in the south of Ukraine, on the Black Sea.
