Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko announced Friday that investigators had “recovered one of the key pieces of evidence that the suspects tried to destroy.”
“This is a video recording from a surveillance camera (…) previously installed near the scene of the crime in order to ensure that the contract had been executed,” he added.

In the 40-second video posted on Telegram by Mr. Kravchenko, we see a person drop a bag in front of the front door of a building before leaving, an explosion ringing out immediately afterwards at this location.
The images show a man, a woman and a teenager arriving from the street in front of the door just as the explosion takes place.
On June 29, Vadim Ermolaev, a wealthy 58-year-old businessman originally from Ukraine and having taken Cypriot nationality, his partner and his 13-year-old son were seriously injured in the lobby of their building by an explosive device detonated remotely as they passed.
The three victims of this assassination attempt survived and are hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
This attack was a bolt from the blue for Monaco, an ultra-secure Mediterranean micro-state of 2 km2 and 40,000 inhabitants, mostly very well-off members of the international community.
