The Californian lettuce supplier is about to launch a recall linked to the widening parasitic epidemic responsible for severe diarrhea, according to information relayed by Bloomberg.
However, the products affected have not yet been specified.
Shredded lettuce from Taylor Farms, sold in certain Taco Bell restaurants, was identified Thursday as one of the possible sources of contamination.
The fast food chain had also removed several ingredients from its menu in some of its establishments.
At this point, more than 700 cases of cyclosporiasis have been confirmed or suspected across the country, according to the main US health agency.
This is not the first time that Taylor Farms has found itself at the heart of such health crises. The company was previously implicated in E. coli cases in 2024, as well as a previous cyclosporiasis outbreak in 2013, according to CNN.
