Where is access to palliative care in France? If the law creating a right to assisted dying has just been adopted, its most consensual part devoted to strengthening palliative care was promulgated at the end of May. Its objective: “to guarantee equal access for all to support and palliative care” throughout the territory, by enshrining in law a multi-annual national strategy, launched in 2024 and allocated more than a billion euros over ten years.
