
At first glance, they all look the same. White clothes, red scarf: this is the essential outfit for the Bayonne Holidays. However, in the four corners of the city, a few purple scarves break this apparent uniformity. They are carried by “vigilant citizens”, residents trained to intervene when a person is a victim or witness of sexist and sexual violence. Their presence is only a small part of a vast network of solidarity which has gradually been organized in Bayonne.
