
It is a national treasure which went up in smoke with the fire which ravaged the forest of Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne) since Sunday July 12. The Trois Pignons massif, the most affected sector, offered a unique landscape where seas of sand dotted with sandstone blocks spread out at the foot of small hills.
