Monopoly in real life? It will soon become a reality. Netflix opens casting for a brand new competition series in which twelve participants do everything they can to win a grand prize of no less than 2 million dollars.
Life-size game board
The candidates compete against each other on a life-size Monopoly square. Just like in the famous board game, they buy properties, make deals, make money and try to put their opponents out of business. Strategy, negotiation and collaboration are crucial. Anyone who goes bankrupt is out of the competition. In the end, only one player remains who takes home the full top prize.
Experienced makers
The series is a collaboration between Hasbro Entertainment and Studio Lambert. That production house previously made successful Netflix programs such as Squid Game: The Challenge (2023– ) in The Circle (2020–2024).
More plans around Monopoly and other games
In addition to the competition series, Hasbro Entertainment is also working on a feature film based on Monopoly. It is being developed together with LuckyChap and Lionsgate, the studios behind the worldwide success of Barbie (2023).

In addition, Hasbro is fully committed to new film adaptations of well-known games and stories. A new film and TV adaptation of Cluedo is also in development and Netflix is working on a live-action series based on Dungeons & Dragons.
