There is joy, melancholy, sadness and above all grace in the singular Little Prince that director Jean Bellorini offers at the TNP in Villeurbanne from this Saturday, May 30. Presented last week at the Bouffes du Nord, in Paris, this “musical show” inspired by the novel by Saint-Exupéry owes its strength to a collaboration with the Yang Hua Theater, an art theater production company in China with which the artist has already worked on an adaptation of Les Misérables, in 2023. A cross-border option which has the great merit of highlighting the universal dimension of the “philosophical tale” while avoiding clichés, on the power of dreams or the clairvoyance of the heart, to which it was able to give rise.
