
The bronze giant stands to attention despite his broken saber. It was around the statue of Alfred Dreyfus, sentenced to deportation on December 22, 1894, that the first National Day for the Recognition of His Innocence was held, on July 12, 2026. Commissioned in 1984 from the artist Louis Mitelberg, known as Tim, the work was initially to stand in the courtyard of the Military School where the army degraded the brilliant officer, elevated last November to the rank of general brigade. She finally catches the eye in the center of the capital, very close to the Court of Cassation which gave her justice one hundred and twenty years ago.
