
The bill has not yet been debated in the chamber but it is already causing concern. Ahead of the debates which should begin in plenary, Monday June 1 at the National Assembly, on a proposed law aimed at “protecting children and fighting against violence in schools”, the Conference of Bishops of France expressed its “great concern” and challenged parliamentarians, in a text revealed by Le Figaro on Friday May 29, also obtained by La Croix. The reason for this concern is the questioning of the secrecy of confession.
