The Israeli army is ready to attack Iran “a third time if necessary” and “even harder”, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared Thursday during a military ceremony.

Since Wednesday, new strikes by the United States in Iran and Tehran against Washington’s regional allies have fueled fears of a breakdown in the ceasefire between the two camps.
“The army is ready and on alert for a resumption of fighting, to restore air superiority and to strike again (…) in Iran, to eliminate threats, including a third time if necessary,” underlined Mr. Katz.
During the same military ceremony, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Iran had been weakened by the two military campaigns launched by Israel.
“Iran and its allies are weaker than ever,” he said, recognizing however that the conflict was not over.
The war against Iran began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched an air offensive that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and many other top Iranian officials.
It was the second Israeli operation against Iran, after a 12-day conflict in June 2025 in which Washington joined.
