
“Protective mothers”, who seek to protect their child from a father suspected of incest, are at the heart of the report of the transpartisan commission of inquiry into the judicial treatment of parental incestuous sexual violence, published Thursday July 9, 2026. At the end of several months of work and around forty hearings, the deputies describe a “recurring pattern” at work for protective parents, who are most often mothers.
