During a global IMAX event, Warner Bros. and Legendary the official trailer of Dune: Part Three (2026) released. The film will be the final piece of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune trilogy.
Seventeen years later
The film takes place seventeen years after the events of Dune: Part Two (2024) and is based on the novel Dune Messiah by Frank Herbert. Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) is now ruler of an entire empire, but his regime is under great pressure. In the trailer, he is told by Duncan Idaho (Jason Momoa) that he has destroyed thousands of worlds in the name of his holy war.

Muad’dib, the heir to immense power, carries out the ancient plan to create a super being as ruler among men instead of in heaven.
Chani’s woede
Chani (Zendaya) also appears to be anything but satisfied with Paul, who once promised her never to seize power on his own behalf. Meanwhile, several factions are also plotting against the Emperor: Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh) and Scytale (Robert Pattinson) are shown discussing “regime change”. Alia (Anya Taylor-Joy), Paul’s younger sister, can also be seen clearly for the first time: covered in blood and screaming.
IMAX 70mm
The score by regular composer Hans Zimmer is once again prominently present. Warner Bros. will show the new trailer, along with a longer clip from the film, ahead of IMAX 70mm screenings of The Odyssey (2026), a format whose nearest screening can be found in Brussels.
Release date
Dune: Part Three can be seen in the Netherlands from December 16.
