
A little recent history is in order. After a year 2025 marked by controversies surrounding public broadcasting, the most spectacular of which was that concerning journalists Thomas Legrand and Patrick Cohen discussing privately in a Parisian restaurant with officials of the Socialist Party, in September, a reflection on its impartiality was initiated by the Regulatory Authority for Audiovisual and Digital Communication (Arcom).
