
Sixty-seven departments will go into orange heatwave vigilance on Wednesday, with temperatures between 35 and 39°C, or even up to 42°C near the coasts of Languedoc-Roussillon, Météo France announced on Tuesday July 7.
Only the north of the country, the Channel coasts, the eastern coast of the country, certain departments of the Massif Central and the extreme south-east will remain on green or yellow vigilance. Tuesday, 61 departments were on orange vigilance. The heatwave will “very likely continue until the end of the week or even beyond”, predicts Météo France in its 4:00 p.m. bulletin.
