The colors have faded since the 2017 paint job. That year, Foix (Ariège) hosted a finish of the Tour de France, as at the end of the fourth stage on Tuesday July 7. And for the occasion, the velodrome of the Ariège city had a makeover, the 250 m concrete ring abandoning gray for a dapper pink, yellow and blue. An appreciable gift for the 80th anniversary of Guidon Fuxéen, one of those clubs in France which keep cycling alive beyond the big barnum of the month of July.
