Mermaids exist. Fanny (Aloïse Sauvage) has the firm intention of becoming one. Question of survival. At 32, she was forced to return to live with her parents, after a disastrous marriage which left her with nothing but debt. To make ends meet, she works during the day as a cleaner in vacationers’ villas, and at night as a cleaner in an industrial cannery. There she meets Paupiette (Annie Mercier), an employee of the company for 43 years, and Tintin (Thomas VDB), forced to keep his boat at the dock because he cannot make a living from an activity undermined by intensive fishing.
