Traditionally revealed each year around the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, these figures are eagerly awaited. Thursday June 25, the Conference of Bishops of France (CEF) revealed the number of new priests ordained for this year 2026: there are 84, compared to 90 in 2025, to receive the sacrament of Order. A slight erosion, which continues the decline already confirmed the previous year – with 105 ordinations in 2024, then 90 in 2025.
