The Banco Master affair, a bank fraud of more than two billion euros revealed in November 2025, continues to shock the highest circles of Brazilian power. After the revelations concerning the links of certain Supreme Court judges and politicians with the sulphurous director of the Master bank, Daniel Vorcaro – accused of having orchestrated a series of fraudulent schemes – it is the turn of Senator Jaques Wagner, a companion in the struggle for almost fifty years of President Lula within the Workers’ Party (PT), to be implicated.
