Trump says Zelensky is “doing pretty well”
Donald Trump judged on Wednesday that Volodymyr Zelensky “was doing quite well” in the war against Russia. “He’s holding on,” the American president said about his Ukrainian counterpart, during an exchange with the press at the White House.
Last week, at the G7 in Evian, France, the American president took an unexpected turn in favor of Ukraine. The Republican, who claims to be close to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, notably agreed to a prolonged and improvised exchange with the French presidents, Emmanuel Macron, and the Ukrainian presidents, Volodymyr Zelensky.
