
One dead in Ukrainian strikes
One person was killed in a Ukrainian drone attack in the Belgorod region and more than 300 drones were intercepted in Russia overnight, authorities said on Wednesday June 24.
“In the Veidelevsky district, in the hamlet of Privetny, a man died on the spot following the explosion of a drone,” wrote the authorities of the Belgorod region in a statement reporting “an attack carried out by drones of the Ukrainian armed forces.”
“A woman, injured by a shrapnel that pierced her back, was taken by ambulance to hospital,” they added in the message published on Telegram.
Woman killed in Russian strike
A woman was killed in a Russian strike on the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, local authorities said.
“A 56-year-old woman was killed during the attack,” wrote the head of the military administration of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Synegubov, on the social network Telegram. “Four individual houses, a store and an outbuilding were damaged. Fires broke out at the site of the strikes,” he added, specifying that emergency services were on site.
