Brother Benoît-Dominique de La Soujeole: It is indeed an act of disobedience since the Pope says no and the Fraternity says yes to the same thing. But what is at stake here is a much deeper question, which touches on being Catholic itself. Literally in Greek, the word Catholic means “according to the whole”. The challenge for a Catholic is therefore to remain linked, united to the whole, that is to say to the Church.
