
A new twist of theater occurred on Wednesday June 10, on the third day of the examination of the proposed law on the “right to assisted dying” by the Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly. Against all expectations, while the deputies were debating article 6 of the text which mainly deals with the procedure for verifying the conditions to be eligible for the system, a majority adopted an amendment which upsets the balance, already fragile and contested, of the text.
