Singer Patrick Bruel was placed in police custody Monday morning as part of an investigation into sexual violence “which at this stage concerns 13 alleged victims”, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office said in a press release, confirming information from franceinfo.
The current investigation “concerns the facts (denounced by) three women” implicating Patrick Bruel “for acts of sexual assault and attempted rape” between 1997 and 2001, added the prosecution, as well as for “acts of rape or attempted rape, sexual assault and harassment” denounced by other women, in France and Belgium.
