A rare platform for a pope, with historical precedents. On an apostolic trip to Spain, from June 6 to 12, Leo XIV will take part in an exercise with high symbolic significance. Monday June 8 in the morning, after a brief exchange with the President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez, he will indeed be received at the Cortes Generales, the Spanish Parliament in Madrid, where he will give a speech to all the country’s deputies and senators.
