An unexpected son-in-law
In Guess Who we see Theresa Jones about to introduce her parents to her boyfriend Simon Green. The couple plans to announce their engagement during the family weekend, but there is one detail Theresa hasn’t told her parents: Simon is white. Kutchers $100.000-armband
The film is a modern, unofficial remake of the classic Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967). Director Kevin Rodney Sullivan had a personal reason for making the film. He once said that he has a daughter and wanted to prepare for the day she comes home with a boyfriend who is completely different from what he expected. The film ultimately turned out to be more expensive than hoped. This partly had to do with Kutcher’s red Kabbalah bracelet, which ultimately had to be digitally removed from every scene at a cost of $100,000. Anyone who ventures into the comedy this weekend should pay extra attention during the breakfast scene, which is the only scene in which the bracelet is accidentally visible.
