
If a few scaffoldings and cranes still cling to the walls of the Sagrada Familia, the tower of Jesus Christ now proudly rises to 172.5 meters high. By day, the immaculate whiteness of its five-pointed cross contrasts with the bright blue of the Catalan sky; at night, it shines like a beacon over the Eixample district. Its completion, just a few weeks ago, marks an essential step in a project launched 145 years ago and made the building the tallest church in the world.
