Thanks to confession, priests know everything! Really ? If public rumor is to be believed, it would not take much to affirm that the secret of confession is as coveted as the crown jewels, as there are so many people circling around it and seeming to want to get their hands on it. No need even to mention this winter’s Louvre heist. Monday, June 1, in the evening, the deputies removed from a legislative text the provision which made possible, even obligatory, the breaking of the secrecy of confession in the event of violence against minors.
