Ukrainian attack kills 3 in annexed Crimea
At least three people were killed and seven injured on the night of Wednesday to Thursday June 4 by a Ukrainian attack in Simferopol, on the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia, according to local authorities.
“According to initial reports, three people were killed and seven others injured due to an enemy strike on non-residential buildings in Simferopol,” the head of the Crimean authorities, Sergei Aksyonov, wrote on Telegram.
EU ready to resume accession talks with Ukraine

The head of American diplomacy Marco Rubio expressed concern about the risk of “escalation” in the war between Russia and Ukraine, after the attack by Ukrainian drones which hit energy and military sites in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
“What has changed in recent months is that Ukraine has become increasingly effective at carrying out long-range strikes deep into Russian territory (…) and I think that is one of the reasons that reminds us why it is important to try to end this war, if we can, because the risk of escalation is real, more real than it was two years ago,” he told a parliamentary committee.
