What can come out of the joint committee (CMP) which will be held on Tuesday June 2, early in the afternoon, on the proposed law establishing, for the first time in France, a “right to assisted dying”? Convened by the Lecornu government, this body which brings together seven senators and seven deputies represents the final attempt to find a compromise between the two chambers. However, the long and chaotic parliamentary journey of this controversial text shows that the disagreement between deputies and senators is obvious and persistent.
