
Monday, June 1, the new occupant of the presidential palace of La Moneda plays the game of a great Chilean republican tradition: once a year, the president must take stock of his policies and present future perspectives from the Congress. Much criticized for his communication errors and his lack of dialogue, José Antonio Kast, elected with 58% of the vote, has suffered a constant decline in his approval rate since coming to power.
