Sea monster
Calvin Penney is a stubborn fisherman from a small town in Newfoundland. He still has questions about his father’s mysterious death long ago. When a scary sea monster suddenly appears in the village, Calvin does everything he can to protect the people in his village and keep them together.
Protect son
He wants to protect his son Wade and his family at all costs. That’s why he works with a researcher who studies the sea and happens to be visiting. Together they take on the monster and try to unravel the island’s ancient secrets before it’s too late. We see a new look at the mysterious series in the very first teaser.
Cast of Below
The new thriller series, which will have a total of six installments, was created by showrunner Jesse McKeown, who previously co-wrote The Umbrella Academy (2019–2024). Jamie Childs, Helen Shaver and Sephen Dunn directed the episodes of Below. The cast includes Josh Hartnett, Charlie Heaton and Mackenzie Davis. The cast is completed by Willow Kean, Ruby Stokes, Rohan Campbell and Kaleb Horn.
Watch on Netflix • A strange creature from the sea terrorizes a small town. A local fisherman takes it upon himself to chase away the monster and thus protect the residents, his family and his traditions.
