It seems that star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has changed his mind after missing out on the World Cup in the United States earlier this month. The Portuguese icon, who is not expected to return to a World Cup, is reportedly set to play his first serious film role, alongside Homeland actor Damian Lewis.
Among the stars
Day 1s will tell the story of a leading football agent who works with some of the biggest stars in the sport. The idea for the series, which will be directed by Matthew Vaughn (known from the Kingsman films), was suggested by a real football agent. Former French top striker Thierry Henry, who played for Arsenal for a long time, would contribute to the project, as would 41-year-old Ronaldo. The British newspaper knows that The Sun.
Continued popularity
CR7, as his nickname is, has been playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia for a number of years and has more than six hundred and seventy million followers on Instagram. It seems that the footballer will have a major role, and will not just appear in a cameo. Filming of the series has already started in London. Lewis takes the lead role.
